The Filming of Hallmark’s Moriah’s Lighthouse! An Author’s Journey (Part 8)
April 6 Wednesday
Borga is so happy about the footage they’ve been getting from the drone that he offers to let us see some of the film from yesterday. He takes us to a large, black van, the doors slide open, and we see two men viewing the footage they are getting.
That’s the first I realize that editing is going on all day every day. The movie needs to be finished and finalized soon because there is yet a lot of work to be done, and the premiere will be in approximately two months. One of the men gives me his seat so I can watch. Seeing the glorious, soaring drone footage for the first time is an emotional experience for me, and I fight back tears.
This leads into an unexpected conversation. My agreement with the production company was that I would stay only one week on set. Borga sees how happy I am with how everything is going and proposes a different schedule. He invites us to move with them over the weekend to the next location which is a small town named Rochefort-en-Terre that some say is the most beautiful town in all of France. I am thrilled to be invited.
When I get back to our Airbnb later that day, I happily look for another Airbnb at the new location. There’s a house right in the middle of the town and I reserve it.
