Being in Sugarcreek for the Swiss Festival was such a joy last week. When I got there, Finders Keepers was packed with people and both Big Mike and Mitch were standing at the door happily greeting everyone who walked in.
The Swiss Festival parade made me smile. My son, Jacob, and I got there a little late, watched the parade for a while, left to get some festival food, came back, and the parade wasn’t even close to finished. There was everything from our own local Portsmouth River Days queen and court to itty-bitty baton twirlers, St. Bernard dogs, a local propane truck, clowns, antique cars, cheese-maker’s floats and marching bands. It was such fun and the weather was glorious.
The book signing in front of the Gospel Shop went well. I enjoyed meeting new people. And . . . being Sugarcreek . . . while I was signing three different business owners brought me snacks to keep up my strength 🙂 The Amish man who runs the horse-drawn trolley around town says his business has tripled since the Love Finds You In Sugarcreek movie came out—and he’s very happy about that.
